This extraordinary full house remodeling project won a LEED Platinum award for its thorough application of green/eco-conscious materials and processes. As part of a team spearheaded by McCutcheon Construction, Arana was brought in to contribute our wood stain expertise. We applied clear water based stain to the exterior cedar siding and a cream-color, semi-solid, water-based stain to the interior poplar wood paneling.
The interiors provided a particular challenge because the new construction required brand new wood paneling that needed to match the original-build paneling that was being retained. The result is a seamless, uninterrupted experience as if there was never a before-and-after in this iconic mid-century-modern home.
