Arana Craftsman Painters completed a detailed historic home interior painting project at the Morse House, a designated Oakland Historical Landmark located in the Rockridge neighborhood. The work took place during a major remodeling and design update that included several key living areas of the home. Our team painted the kitchen, butler’s pantry, laundry room, master suites, stairwell, guest bath, living room, and powder room as part of the interior refresh.
Before painting began, portions of the walls required skim coating to prepare surfaces for wallpaper and to create a smooth finish in newly redesigned areas. Once the walls were properly prepared, we applied Benjamin Moore Regal Interior paints in flat, matte, and semi-gloss finishes depending on the room and surface type. The entire interior painting project lasted about three weeks, with a total investment of $20,000.

With multiple rooms under renovation at the same time, the schedule required coordination between several trades to keep the project moving smoothly.
