Ronald McDonald House + Julianne Quelle Designs

Arana had the pleasure of helping designer Jana Magginetti of Julianne Quelle Designs bring her vision for a restful bedroom and playful sitting room to life. As part of the newly expanded Ronald McDonald House at Stanford, in Palo Alto, CA, these rooms will provide a home-away-from-home for sick children and their families. The inspiring finished project is featured in San Francisco’s Cottages and Gardens Magazine.

Ronald McDonald House + LMB Interiors

Laura Martin Bovard of Laura Martin Bovard Interiors had a vision of a space that “makes families feel welcome, safe and special.” Arana helped her achieve this as part of our first ever charity project, working with 50 Interiors Designers and other vendors to transform the newest Ronald McDonald House at Stanford, in Palo Alto, CA. We think Laura’s grounding, soothing color palette and modern vibe came together beautifully.

An extraordinary midcentury multi-level “treehouse” in the Oakland hills, built, and later updated, by AIA gold medal architect Joseph Esherick, who is known for designing the Monterey Bay Aquarium, The Hedgerow at Sea Ranch, and The Cannery in SF. Our work in the kitchen features clean lines and brushed-on white paint. The house recently changed ownership in May 2018, selling for $2.2 M.

ARANA-Sherman-St-Alameda-1

Sherman Street, Alameda + AND Interior Design Studio + Norman Sanchez Architecture

This historic home in Alameda which was once a boarding house boasted tons of original details. We carefully unburied each one: stripping paint off of doors, removing grime from brass fixtures. No expense was spared in the remodel and restoration of this beautiful house. A particularly unique detail: painted stamped-leather wainscoting — which is something you definitely don’t see every day!

Paint is a simple detail in this bathroom, and yet no less important than the gorgeous tile!

In this collaboration with HDR Remodeling, we framed this work-of-art shower with a coat of Acrylic Eggshell, highlighting the bathroom’s best assets. (Click the link to their website to read the story of how this tiny bathroom was transformed into a spa retreat, and view Before images!)
